Welcome to South Central Community Schools where I am proud to join a district of already-proven, hard-working individuals, whom are committed to the same values I am, which is dedicated to" Building a Culture of Excellence". This district takes great pride in rigorous curricular programs, high achieving state scores that meet all the requirements of federal and state mandates, and the opportunities for students to develop themselves by offering competitive athletic programs. This success is a result of a dedicated commitment of high educational expectations set by a Board of Schools Trustees, outstanding teachers, administrators, and parents in order to educate all types of student learners.
South Central Community Schools is a highly-performing rural school district serving approximately 850 students in northwest Indiana. This district offers the best of both worlds; affordability and convenience of a small rural community with a short drive to Valparaiso, LaPorte, Michigan City, South Bend, and Plymouth. The residents of this community take pride in knowing their neighbors, celebrating achievements, and taking care of one another in times of need. Union Mills, Indiana provides a new outstanding library, park and school that afford children a safe haven loaded with activities and adventures to be explored.
The South Central Community School Board and I are ever mindful of the need for continual improvement. I believe that South Central Community School District offers an outstanding education to the children it serves. If you have comments regarding current programs or have suggestions on how we can improve, or want to share the great things about South Central Community School District, I would like to hear from you.
