In-District Transfers
If you live within the South Central school district and wish to enroll a student during the school year, please follow the steps below:
1. Contact the school your student will be attending
- School office personnel will answer any questions and will schedule an appointment for registration.
- South Central Elementary School (Grades K-6): 219-767-2269
- South Central Jr.-Sr. High School (Grades 7-12): 219-767-2266
- State-issued Birth Certificate
- Proof of Residency
- Current Immunization Records
- Guardianship Papers (if applicable)
- Name of the Previous School
- Transcript or Report Card from Previous School (recommended)
- School office personnel will help you set up a Harmony Family Access account to register your student

Out-of-District Transfers
- South Central will be accepting student transfer applications for the 2022-2023 school year for families living outside of the district until February 1, 2023.
- Out-of-district students will be accepted into grade levels per the available openings in the table below.
Note: The transfer application for the 2023-2024 school year will be available in March.

If accepted, please follow the steps below for enrolling a new student:
1. Attend new student registration
- Families will schedule a time with the office for registration to take place at the school.
- State-issued Birth Certificate
- Proof of Residency
- Current Immunization Records
- Guardianship Papers (if applicable)
- Name of the Previous School
- Transcript or Report Card from Previous School (recommended)
